General informations:

A triazole-based corrosion protection additive is an additive from the group of benzotriazoles/tolyltriazoles or related triazoles that is used as an organic corrosion inhibitor. The ingredients, such as benzotriazoles/tolyltriazoles, act in particular as copper corrosion inhibitors. Benzotriazole is also used as an anti-corrosive agent in metalworking, in cooling systems, and as a protective coating.
