General informations:
MCT oil, of plant origin, is an oil based on medium-chain triglycerides. It is a highly concentrated fat product typically obtained by fractionation from plant-based raw materials such as coconut oil or palm kernel oil. It usually consists of mixtures of caprylic acid (C8) and capric acid (C10); lauric acid (C12) may be present, but only in small amounts of up to 2%.
